2007 Assembly Bill 599
This bill makes numerous changes with regard to historic buildings and downtown development. This Act would amend the statutes relating to the regulation, preservation, and restoration of historic buildings; the supplement to the federal historic rehabilitation tax credit and the state historic rehabilitation tax credit; requiring the certification of downtowns; promoting certain downtown areas in this state; highway projects involving business and downtown areas; and granting rule−making authority; and making appropriations.

The Market Analysis Workbook is designed to help local business leaders, entrepreneurs, developers, and economic development professionals understand the changing marketplace and identify business and real estate development opportunities that are realistic and make sense for their communities. The Downtown and Business District Market Analysis guidebook is a collaborative effort between the University of Wisconsin - Extension (UWEX) and the Wisconsin Main Street Program of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce (Commerce).
